How do you improve two of the most prominent underwriting firms in Kansas? Combine them! After the purchase of First Securities in 1995, the two companies were merged in April 1999 to form Riedl First Securities Company of Kansas.
First Securities Company of Kansas, Inc.
First Securities Company of Kansas, Inc. was founded in 1916. The firm’s main office has always been located in Wichita, Kansas. Over the past 100+ years the firm has represented almost every city in the State in the issuance and distribution of their bonds. First Securities has financed roads, schools, utilities, and all types of improvements creating expansion throughout the state.
The Formation of Riedl & Company
Riedl & Company was formed in 1991, by Jerry Riedl, Vice President and Director of R.G. Dickinson, by the acquisition of the Dickinson Wichita, Kansas office. In 1993 Riedl & Company became a member of the National Association of Security Dealers and continued its heritage of full-service discount stock brokerage with an emphasis on Kansas Tax Exempt bond underwriting.

In 2012, Jerry Riedl sold half the firm to Caesar Naftzger, Vice Chairman. The two continued to serve clients across the United States. In 2015, Jerry Riedl sold the remaining half to Caesar Naftzger who currently serves as President and CEO.
Meet Our Team
Riedl First Securities Company of Kansas has a professional staff with many years of experience in the area of structuring financing of cities, counties, school districts, and companies. The firm acts as financial consultant, advising municipalities and companies on the structuring and marketing of general obligation and revenue bonds of various types.
Caesar Naftzger, President and CEO
Caesar Naftzger joined the firm in September 2001 and is an approved FINRA Registered Representative, General Securities Principal, Municipal Securities Principal, and Financial Operations Principal. Mr. Naftzger is experienced in all areas of brokerage financial investments, including personal and business. In 2012, he joined Mr. Riedl as co-owner of the firm and completed full acquisition of the Firm in 2015. Mr. Naftzger is a graduate of Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas.
Angela Green, Vice President / Branch Manager
Angela Green is Vice President and Branch Manager of the firm with in depth knowledge of the brokerage business since 2009. She came to the firm with experience in the mortgage industry as a mortgage broker. During her career, she has specialized in working with the rules and regulations that govern the brokerage business and maintaining compliance as well as operations. She is an approved FINRA Registered Representative, Municipal Securities Principal, and General Securities Principal and has completed her Life and Health Insurance licensing.
Shannon Stauth,Vice President / Sales
Shannon Stauth has rejoined our firm in April of 2025 and is an approved FINRA Registered Representative and General Securities Principal. He is a graduate of Fort Hays State University with a Bachelors in Finance with an emphasis on Financial Planning. He received his Associates Degree in Business from Dodge City Community College. He has over 24 yrs of experience in the financial industry. He is alsolicensed in Life and Health Insurance.
Kaitlin Volkman, Cage Administrator/Receptionist
Kaitlin joined us at the beginning of February. She graduated in 2019 from Mulvance High School and is currently working on her Associates Degree in Business from Butler County Community College. She is the Cage Administrator/ Receptionist and also helps with administrative duties to the brokerage team. She is responsible for daily order entries and receiving in checks, among many other miscellaneous duties. She will be your first contact when calling or visiting our office.
Bethany Blatchford, Administrative Assistant
Bethany joined the firm beginning in June 2022. She graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Pittsburg State University in December 2022. Bethany is an Administrative Assistant to the brokerage team, as well as being responsible for client services and customer relations. She has currently passed her SIE and is studying for her Series 7 exam to better assist the firm's clients.
Jessie Kaspar, Administrative Assistant
Jessie joined the firm in mid March 2025. Jessie graduated from Wichita State University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and her Associates of Science in Accounting at Butler Co. Community College in 2003. Jessie is an Administrative Assistant to the brokerage team. Jessie is responsible for client services and customer relations.
Tracy Toguchi, Adminstrative Assistant
Tracy joined the firm in mid November of 2024. She graduated from Derby High School in May of 2004. Tracy's experience in office operations and customer support will assist our current administrative team. Tracy is an Administrative Assistant to the brokerage firm. Tracy will assist the team in customer relations and client services.
